Hot breakfast with coffee, tea and bacon was provided. The location was good for walking around a parish church.

I was in Wakefield to see a friend & his band at the Snooty Fox & chose the Chasley Hotel at random which was fortunate that it was in the town centre & very convenient for the venue & train station.
The hotel was clean, tidy, good size room, with onsuit facilaties, for what I wanted it was perfect.

The hotel was an excellent base for enjoying a great area, close to Wakefield, coal mining museum and the famous sculpture park, and the pub. The staff was amicable and superfriendly all the time. We had cereals, fruit, toast, croissants and bread for breakfast and it was savoury.

I was looking for basic accommodation for one night and that is what the Chasley Hotel provided, no complaints.
The room could have done with some decoration as it was starting to look tired. I was surprised that it was possible to fully open the windows on the fourth floor room I was in.

Cotton sheets, clean bathroom, good shower, soap and shampoo, tea making facilities. All you need for a stay. Hotel was quiet and the 3rd floor had great views over the area.
Not really a complaint about the hotel itself just the price. I stayed there last year and got a single room for £28. This year it was £40 and my friends, a couple paid £45. I am careful now about where I book as a single person and tend to be able to find single rooms at a reasonable price. I think all hotels need to have a more realistic attitude to single people as there are more of us. I would therefore think twice about staying here on cost alone. It would not stop me recommending it to couples.

In the city centre, close to the train station, polite staff
The hotel requires a lot of maintenance, the list of broken or dodgy things is endless (in the room and around the hotel)

We stayed at the hotel beacuse ofthe bad weather. The room was very spacious and very clean. The sheets were clean and the bed huge!!. The only bug bear was that the bath was quite small and you could not lay back and relax in it.There was a good size tv with free view tv . the staff were nice and friendly . We did not use the lounge bar but it looked very inviting and plan to use when we stay again. This hotel was real value for money!!!!
